A security platform in development

Your Security.
Your Choice.

SecurityBrightness is building a thoughtful layer of digital protection — helping applications operate within clear boundaries while keeping important decisions accountable.

Early-stage software. Not a finished device-protection product or antivirus.

Our approach

Trust should have boundaries.

Giving an application access does not mean approving everything it might do. SecurityBrightness focuses on checking proposed actions against application identity, permissions, policy and — when needed — a deliberate human decision.

01 /

Clear permissions

Understand what a registered application has been allowed to request.

02 /

Meaningful decisions

Review important proposals rather than relying on vague blanket consent.

03 /

Accountable activity

Record authorization decisions and explain the limits of each integration.

Built with care

Protection starts with knowing the limits.

Implemented foundation

Authorization engine

A Python core, local service and SDK evaluate registered application requests using policies and scopes.

Prototype

Desktop human review

A Windows-facing prototype supports reviewing proposals, inspecting application authority and reading decision history.

Experimental

Isolated broker research

Separate inactive fixture experiments test stricter lifecycle and resource boundaries. They are not general device protection.

What it does not do today: Simply installing SecurityBrightness does not intercept arbitrary Windows applications or protect every file. Protection depends on cooperating integrations and trusted enforcement points. The experimental broker is not enabled for general application delivery.

Development status

Built step by step. Verified before claims.

SecurityBrightness is actively evolving through implementation, automated testing, and controlled demonstrations. Passing tests support specific behaviours; they do not prove comprehensive real-world protection.

Available in source

Core and SDK

Authorization decisions, application registration, human review and audit.

Prototype

Windows desktop

A technical review interface, not yet a polished consumer application.

Future work

Broader integrations

Trusted enforcement, stronger isolation, packaging and a consumer-ready experience.

The existing browser-based file-pattern review remains available as an experimental tool. It is separate from the Python authorization engine and is not an antivirus or malware verdict.
